Since this is a patriotic long weekend for most and for a precious few it coincides with their wedding weekend, I just couldn't help myself! I wonder how many 4th of July brides there are?
Well fortunately, Fourth of July weekend brides have a lovely array of patriotic gowns to choose from.
And lastly, a lovely red, white and blue cake creation, featuring cutouts that mimic fireworks.
This is a cake fit for Betsy Ross herself!
True story: in 2008 Ben Franklin impersonator Ralph Archbold and Betsy Ross impersonator Linda Wilde married in a public ceremony at Independence Hall in Philadelphia in full period costume and celebrated with this cake at their reception later that day.
