Gold-y Lace

This Carolina Herrera gown is kind of an "oldie" (if you call 2011 "old") but it sure is a goodie.  I think it was even done for a red carpet once or twice but I can't seem to recall who wore it or when.

True that this is not a wedding gown, but I think it would make a lovely one in white and with either that gold or white (or silver) lace overlay.

It is quite body conscious with a slim design and mermaid silhouette.  But that's why I like the counterpoint of the high jewel neckline and short sleeves.
