Modern Edwardian

The description for this J. Crew dress states that the inspiration for this dress came from Edwardian era fashion.  You can definitely see that, but at the same time of course, the modern touches.

For one, the dress is very minimalist and with no decoration, save for the jeweled waist band detail.  Even the gathered bodice is very clean and unassuming.

The rest of the details are romantic: the cap sleeve, the easy A-line silhouette, the the feminine double v-neckline.
