Here is a lovely mermaid gown in satin by Stella York. I would call it both a true mermaid and a true asymmetric style.
It has a strapless sweetheart neckline with crystal encrusted neckline and wrapped style bodice accented with embellishment. The real knockout is the asymmetric tiered skirt. The finishing touch is the corset back.
