Bridal Dictionary: The Crumb-Catcher

A brief intro to crumb-catchers:  They are voluminous elements found at the bust of a bodice.  They can be pleated, ruffled, or bigger and more structural origami elements.  The purpose of this style element is to add dimension and shape to the bust.  It is a detail that works very much to the benefit of the less endowed since it helps to carve out a curvier silhouette, but fuller figures must tread very carefully to avoid a top heavy look.
