Dream Dress Friday: Timeless Modesty

Who: Maggie Sottero's "Grace Kelly" gown
Why:  Grace Kelly is an example of classical and timeless elegance that is refreshingly modest!
I'm sure it was named "Grace Kelly" for a reason: this gown recalls its Old World namesake inspiration in the use lace, sleeves (albeit shorter and fresher than the original), and illusion lace as a modesty element.
All those elements make this gown stand apart in a world full of sexy strapless and backless styles.

There are many notable details:
  • lace trimmed cap sleeves that offer support and show off your toned assets without baring it all
  • an illusion lace modesty panel helps cover up your girls whether you are well-endowed or simply want to keep it classy
  • a contrasting colored inverted basque sash, while visibly appearing to "lift" your bust line from the front can be hazardous to pears from the rear view!
  • a dipped back leads to Maggie Sottero's signature corset, a thoroughly feminine detail with just a hint of lingerie inspiration, for a modestly sexy element lest you feel too goody-goody.

The best part of this classic gown is its versatility.  I can picture this gown equally at home in a country barn wedding or a romantic chapel wedding.
