Inspiration: Mariska Hargitay

In 2004 Mariska Hargitay married Peter Hermann in a Carolina Herrera gown.

Even though Mariska's body type is strong, curvy and volupt, she has great bone structure to carry off a strapless gown.  She is a perfect aspiration for fit and athletic yet womanly, "non skinny" body types.
The blush colored ball gown was the perfect choice for a more "mature" first time bride to indulge her whimsy in a sophisticated way.
Her gown features a "duo waist" to fit her long waist perfectly: an empire rouched detail with a bodice that drops a bit below the natural waist, which incorporates the best of both waistlines.

A sweetheart neckline was a smart choice to harness Miss Hargitay's ample bosom. Although perhaps too risque for some, it was no doubt custom altered to perfectly fit her form without fear of any "mishaps".  Remember, rather than being a splurge, alterations are actually an investment.  So if you want to look as good as Mariska does in her gown, invest in that custom tailoring!

Although Mariska's Carolina Herrera gown was custom, the following gowns, although not exact look-a-likes, share many similar elements:
