WhimsyBride Favorites: Badgley Mischka Resort 2013

These are just a few bridal inspiration looks I found from Badgley Mischka Resort 2012.  Of course they are not bridal gowns but I think if they would make great wedding gowns if done in white.

Slide #2 features an illusion neckline over a very deep v, with sleeveless styling and silver floral details.  I really like the bias shape and the overall silhouette, and that bodice is just so nice.  The bottom part is a bit low and I think I would like it more if it was a wide scoop under the illusion.  But that's just me.

Slide #7 reminds me of a floral nude dress Dakota Fanning once wore and I always thought she looked like an age appropriate fairy princess.  Well this gown is similar to that but its a more mature version.  I love the illusion and cap sleeves and of course all the embellishment on the bodice.  Its heavy but I think its just this side of "too much".  This would be a very cool "alternative" wedding gown if you don't want to do traditional white.

Slide #19 can look a bit severe, especially with how it is styled but I really love the embellished jewel neckline and waist, as well as the sweet little cap sleeves.  My only (obvious) tweak would be that the gathered bodice looks just a bit awkward and would look much better if that gap were closed.

Finally slide #16 is a fun study in contrasts.  The asymmetric rouched gown has detailed cap sleeves and v-neckline, with an asymmetric detailed shoulder.  Its almost boring but the embellished details do add something.
