Belted

Belts on bridal gowns are not done too often which is why it surprised me to see so many in the collections by Stephanie Allin couture.
It might seem out of place at first since belts don't exactly scream women's formal wear, nor do the pairings of belt + gown exactly seem like a fit.  But done in white and jewels they make it work.  What I like best of course is that they are interpreted in so many different ways.

First on this sweetheart gown, cinching the peplum train.
Style "Ashlea".
A more traditional sweetheart gown but with an A-line shape.  This belt is less of a "belt" and more of a decorative buckle on a waist band, but it still gives the same effect.

Style Bacall.
The buckle on this belt is rhinestone and quite ornate, which works with the otherwise simple gown.

Style Castello.

Here's a unique style of sweetheart body suit palazzo pants.  Again this is more of a buckle decoration, not an actual belt.

Style Garbo.
This lace illusion gown is so lady-like so the strong wide belt helps emphasize that itty-bitty waist.

Style Kelly.
Here is a belt with another sweetheart gown style, only this time it serves to anchor the removable skirt with train.

Style Mae.
Finally, this short lace gown adds a sweet touch with a dusty rose slim belt.  Even though it has a dropped waistline, the belt serves to emphasize the higher and narrower part of the waist.

Style Rosalba.
