Pinning Policy

I LOVE that people use the WhimsyBride Blog as inspiration to add to their Pinboards, however I feel it necessary to address the issue of pinning.

I make an effort to properly credit and link back every single image to all original sources.  And I personally know the frustration of tracking down a pin source lead only to find a big, fat dead end.  I myself feel guilty and irresponsible and usually end up not pinning or re-pinning something if I can't find any original information.

My only request if you pin from this blog is that you please do the same and "Pin responsibly" by adequately labeling your pins and grabbing them from original posts*. 

Please employ following suggestions for good Pin etiquette:

• Please take the time to properly and specifically describe the pin or what you like about it. 
• Examples of a bad description are generic and don't have any information: "Beautiful!"   " :)"  "LOVEEEE ITTT!!!! ❥".
•   Examples of a good caption include some sort of description or information: "Beautiful strapless gown!",  "I love the skirt/back/beading of this gown!" or "This is my dream gown, I love everything about it!".
• Please include the maker/designer, and if possible the source of the gown or item.  Example - Vera Wang gown, Watters collection, Something Bleu for BHLDN, Valentino via Net-a-Porter, etc...
• If possible, please include the make and style of the gown or item.  Example - "gown style Diana", "Style #12345", "Spring 2011 collection", etc...
• Please link from the original post page. In other words, click on the post title to take you to the exact page and pin from there; please don't just pin from the main page or archives/search (since pages are constantly being added everything moves around and its harder to hunt down the original picture.)

Obviously I myself make every effort to follow these suggestions as well.
