Today's look-a-like for less should actually be called "Many Me!" because there are so many versions of this gown at different price points and with very minor differences between them. All of them have been out for a while that it's hard to pinpoint the original. So I'll start with the descriptive elements of the gown and when I get to price I'll work my way down from the higher to lower.
The elements -
Bodice: strapless, embellished empire waist detail and asymmetrically rouched dropped bodice with focal point applique at the left hip
Waist: asymmetric dropped waist with empire/bust detail
Skirt: modified A-line mermaid with embellishments at hem varying between models and some featuring a peek-a-boo style layered cutout
Back: flare varies between models but can find in corset lace-up style and covered buttons over zipper style
Enzoani has silk satin has beaded appliques at the bust and all along the rouched bodice in addition to the main hip focal point. The rouching is nice and thick and in a more horizontal, slightly sparser pattern leading to the asymmetrical dropwaist. The bust embellishment just scoops down the front and not like an empire detail. The zipper closure is hidden by covered buttons with signature Enzoani inner corset, which is what you want to help hold up such a heavy dress. The skirt has an embellished underskirt framed by sculpted origami pleats (the "cut out" skirt in this model isn't actually "cut out" and hemmed like other models but rather sculpted and folded). The back of the skirt is clean but pleated. In this case I'd say the quality is worth the price.
Price: under $3000
Maggie Sottero has flattering sweetheart neckline version also in taffeta. It has an asymmetrical empire waist detail (since the embellishment wraps around to the back.) The rouching is also nice and thick but unembellished except focal applique at the dropped asymmetrical waist. This version does not feature a cut out or any embellishment on the skirt. Maggie Sottero gowns also feature an inner corset with optional outer lace-up or zipper and the back of the skirt is a clean (unembellished) A-line silhouette.
Price: Under $3000 but Maggie's is considered affordable so you can expect to find a flexible price point
Piccione is a higher end line of silk gowns from Alfred Angelo. It has even, thick rouching down the bodice and detail at the empire waist, which makes this gown visually hard-lined. This version does not have a cut out skirt either but has another gathered focal applique on the rear side. While this number has a hidden zipper down the back, Alfred Angelo gowns don't feature inner corsets so the construction is not as good as ones that do.
Price: under $2000
Anjolique is made from silk and features a subtler sweetheart shaped neckline. This version also has the asymmetrical empire detailing but the skirt does not have a cutout in the front. The rouching along the bodice is a bit more random giving a crinkle-y effect. Anjolique is a line that does construct inner corsets over zipper with covered button detail but does not feature button loops which causes the zipper to be exposed, which is a slightly cheap detail that can be remedied with simple alterations. This version is more of a true mermaid style from the back since the skirt wraps around the rear more than other styles and features a focal applique in the back mirroring the one in the front.
Price: under $1500 but this brand is also considered affordable so you can expect the price point to be flexible
This next version made of taffeta is from Alfred Angelo's signature line (the main "house" line as opposed to the "specialty" lines.) The skirt has a true cutaway, with the upper single layer cut, hemmed and gathered at the top to reveal the embellished underskirt, which makes it look a bit cheap since the upper layer will undoubtedly curl back and open. The rear of the skirt features gathers and embellishment at the hem. The rouching is a lot thinner than other versions, looking more like pintucks. Also you notice that while the other gowns feature the rouching going towards the focal applique at the hip, this style has rouching going away from the focal point; it's a confusing feature that causes your eye to visually zigzag instead of gracefully flowing over the silhouette. This style comes in a lace-up corset but Alfred Angelo does not construct inner corsets, which is another cheap feature since this gown is so heavily embellished that requires extra support. Alterations to your measurements and reinforcement for the corset would be necessary to prevent this gown from sliding.
Price: under $1000
DaVinci Bridal is also made of taffeta It has thick rouching and appliques all along the bodice, mimicking the higher end versions, and the bust embellishment just scooping down from the neckline. The cutaway skirt revealing the peek-a-boo underskirt in a true single layer hemmed cutaway.
Price: under $1000 (but less than the Alfred Angelo of the same price range)
