These are my picks for best red carpet looks that can translate to bridal.
One of my favorites was Paz Vega in a short white number. Thanks to her hair and the bell sleeves I take this look as a modernized version of a sixties go-go look. I can imagine someone has a picture of their mother's wedding day in a similar outfit, complete with white go-go boots, and ironed straight hair.
I also enjoyed Nicole Kidman in an ombre mermaid style by Gaultier. I think the warm tones from her dress complement her hair and skin tone and warm her right up. This also happens to be a true mermaid style, fitted throughout to the knees and then flared.
While my bridal picks were few, I have many more picks for bridemaid looks.
Kelly Osbourne in a lavender ruffled Tadashi Shoji was one of my favorites but admittedly the color and silhouette of the dress would probably be a hard fit on most body types. Looks cute on her though.
Hilary Scott of Lady Antebellum looks classically striking in Roberto Cavalli. (Who knew Cavalli could be so classy and serious?) The black strapless gown is cut in a classic style but the snakeskin belt add spicyness to what could have been a dull outfit. Imitate this look with a jeweled belt for a classy and classic affair.
I thought Jennifer Hudson in Versace showed a fun look although I would have appreciated maybe a bit more fun in the color also. Thanks to this dress I can actually see the fun in bridesmaids in high-low hem dresses.
Lastly Yolanda Adams demonstrated the right features to show off for mother looks. I don't know much about her including how old she is, but this look to me seems perfectly appropriate and shows just enough collar bone and arm, great assets for moms to show off comfortably.
Which look was your favorite?
