Royal Wedding Recap Pt. 2

Of course I can't give a proper and full wedding recap without talking about the bridal party looks can I?

Now for the most talked about bridesmaid in the world at the moment, Philippa Middleton.

I was very surprised as how slinky and sexy her bridemaid look was!  

I had no personal predictions for what she might wear but I was surprised by the refreshingly modern bias cut almost mermaid style sheath with cute sleeves and a lacy cowl.

Like her sister Kate, Philippa has a very long and lean physique with small or minimal curves.  

Both women tend to be less full in the bust so both were able to get away with V necklines and still look modest.  If you notice, the cowl adds a bit of fullness to Philippa's otherwise slim frame.  

This gown is also a perfect example of how someone with a linear physique can benefit from bias cut.  Because of the drape modest attributes mean a subtle enhancement with this cut while fuller attributes can look too revealing.  This means Philippa benefits from looking sleekly sexy yet still modest whereas someone with fuller curves might look too slinky, too daring and too revealing in this same dress.

So much so in fact, Philippa's physique has even inspired fan pages of her booty!

I think it's more of a British thing because personally, being American, I don't see it.  Literally, I think it's tiny but that's probably because America's "booty ambassadors" are the likes of Kim Kardashian, Beyonce and Jessica Biel!

I thought keeping the maid of honor's dress white was a good way to maintain visual cohesiveness since she would've stood out otherwise in a colored dress.

How cute are the flower girls and paige boys?  The knickers kill me and it's a nice play as a "junior" version" of military uniforms.  And as far as the military uniforms, I'm not a fan but they are very dapper and again the look was very cohesive overall.
