Yesterday Prince Albert married long time love Charlene Whittstock at an extravagant state affair in the tiny principality of Monaco. This marks the first royal wedding of a head of state for that nation since Prince Rainier's famous wedding to Hollywood movie star Grace Kelly.
Newly minted Princess Charlene wore a custom made Armani wedding gown with an off-the-shoulder shawl collar and jewel encrusted embroidery.
Note that while her gown has a train there is also an overlapping longer train which is most likely detachable. And how cute are those flower girls with their colonial inspired smocked dresses and hats?
Just like Kate Middleton she undoubtedly draws comparisons to her iconic deceased mother-in-law, but I believe her to be more similar to Diana with her thin and tone figure and doe-like demeanor.
A few more details:
A natural face and natural hair complement this natural beauty. Instead of a tiara Princess Charlene chose to complement her side swept up do with a jeweled hair adornment on which her veil was attached. It looked lovely from all angles.
