Maybe its just me but I did not find much "bridal fashion" inspiration from the CMA's runway. In fact I was pretty disappointed in the number of bombs! I suppose not everyone can hit it out of the ball park at every event!
First up is Danelle Leverett (below right) in a figure flattering dark mermaid gown with one shoulder and wrapped detailing. I love the subtle shimmer peeking out from in between the bands as well as her hair parted to the side opposite the shoulder detail. (I don't have any words for the cupcake frocked girl next to her!)
Emily Van Camp looks cute and sophisticated in a drop waisted corset gown in a stunning amethyst color. Though it looks a bit dated, she looks very classy.
I can't decide if I like Jennifer Nettles' sleeveless embellished gown. The color is great and the neckline is flattering but I'm not sure the draping and the shimmer is as flattering as it could be. What do you think?
Kimberly Campbell, wife of Glen Campbell, leaves me equally perplexed in her bias cut, deep v-neck plum colored gown. I think the straps/cape combo is what I can't figure out.
Martina McBride rocks a version of a feminine tuxedo with a sparkly tailored jacket, lingerie top and satiny slacks. A great look for a sophisticated mother-of-the-groom!
And last we have Taylor Swift, who can almost do no wrong. She wore a bridal inspired, bias ruched tulle mermaid gown with an asymmetric, shatter tiered train detail.
