I love the ladylike touches of this Badgley Mischka gown.
There is something so feminine about that fancy little portrait collar neckline and mermaid shape.
Gowns with collars are rare and the collars tend to be visually stronger elements but this one is so soft and dainty and hits all the right notes. While portrait collars tend to call attention to the collar bones and chest I like that this one did it right, with hint at the "assets", not showing them off.
Maybe its also that the sheer sleeves and neckline are finished in a rather dainty embellished trim. The back view with the sheer panel and button line is also so lovely.
This gown also features a natural waist, corset bodice with boning detail atop a lacy mermaid skirt, which helps highlight the overall softness of the gown.
