I love the clean looking gowns from Alyne F2012 but I found something interesting in this collection. A few of the gowns featured the same design elements: sweetheart neckline, strapless corset, natural waistline, with A-line silhouette. The catch was that they were done with different textures and keeping the designs unembellished and clean was a great choice so as not to detract from that lovely corset detail.
It is actually very interesting to see the same consistent design done in different fabrics. You really start to understand how fabric and certain design elements can really change the look and feel of a dress.
I think that when you can start to narrow down and put into words or pictures the elements that draw you in, it is infinitely easier to find a dress that you will be happy with.
On this next gown I can't really tell what fabric that is (probably organza?) but it certainly looks heavier than the light and airy one above. I think this gives the gown a softer feel at the bodice but a heavier and more substantial looking skirt. Arguably this is the most classic and timeless version of the gowns.
This all-over lace gown is also pretty substantial. It is softer and more romantic than the above gowns. Interestingly the lace does nothing to minimize the corset details of the bodice, nor does the corset minimize the lace detail at the bodice.
The first is a smooth corset paired with a layered tulle skirt. I think the use of different materials makes for a nice contrast between the bodice and the skirt. Looks wise this is the lightest of the gowns and I think the flirty-est style of the three.
