Who: Stephanie Allin, A Fine Romance collection, style Agi.
Why: Its yet another lovely gown from the Stephanie Allin couture collection.
I have to admit that this gown does still remind me of Kate Middleton's wedding gown, but this is probably a much more do-able, real-life, and more modern version.
I, for one, despised all the exact copy-cat looks Kate's original inspired. It was great for her, but why would a bride want to look like Kate when they can look like their best self? That said, I'm all for re-interpretations and "inspired by" looks that aren't exact replicas.
This gown has the hallmarks of the original, re-interpreted in a very modern way.
I features a high neck illusion overlay and ¾ length sleeves. The length of the sleeves are still very modest, but in my opinion much fresher and not as confining. While the illusion neckline is high (with shaped sweetheart bodice underneath) that allows assets to be covered, the back has a deep v which allows you to show skin with out showing any of the important parts. Even though you are covered, that deep v back is still very seductive.
The natural waist is gathered into a sash at the back, with an asymmetric floral motif along the front.
Finally the silhouette is a nice modified mermaid which is shapely and oh so thoroughly modern.
