Tuxedo Corset

So sorry if this post has gone up a little later than usual!

This Maria Karin gown has such a detailed bodice, but I think my favorite touch are the embellished pleated bands.  I think they are a bit tuxedo inspired, reminiscent of the pleats found in certain styles of tuxedo shirts.  The pleats and embellishments run up to the bust where they are trimmed in ruffles, which also reminds me a bit of a can-can girls boudoir style getup.

Besides the drop waisted strapless corset bodice, this gown also features a clean princess seamed mermaid skirt, and has a zip closure.
