I found the winter bride looks from this post so beautiful and inspirational that since then I've been on the look out for great bridal capes and coats. One lovely and feminine one that I happened to come across today was this lovely "Anastasia" jacket by London based designer Betsey Couture.
It is very simple and because the outside is so plain it would look great open as shown with a very embellished dress peeking out from the opening. The only detailed touches of this coat are the fur trimmed collar and cuffs (don't know if real or faux!) which look cozy and warm.
The coat dress is cut with princess seams which you always want in a coat, especially a bridal coat, since they add feminine shape to what could be a bulky item. And since that is the outer silhouette, it won't detract or compete with whatever silhouette the gown underneath is.
My favorite touch of this coat is the train!
