I decided to do something a bit different for today's Sunday Best. Instead of usual maids looks I wanted to do an "Inspired by.../Look-a-like for less" post and chose as a subject one particular look of Kate Middleton a.k.a. the Duchess of Cambridge.
(Fun fact: Did you know that another of her official titles is H.R.H. Princess William? "Duchess" was the title given to her to hold on her own right and in some instances is of slightly higher rank than Princess. "Prince" is only William's title, which can be shared with her to use in the feminine version but she cannot use alone with her own name, hence Princess William.)
The inspiration: Kate at the U.K. premiere of the movie "War Horse" in a lovely full-length black lace gown by Temperly London, with nude-style lining, deep v-neck and 3/4 length sleeves.
The look-a-likes for less:
T by Tadashi lace boatneck dress in a sleeveless style. It has the same theme as the inspiration piece and even has a neutral lining and similar waist detail.

Another great look-a-like is a slightly more showy one shoulder design by Dessy. Again it is full length lace with neutral lining and waist detail.
