On May 10, 2008 Jenna Bush married Henry Hager at an outdoor ceremony at Prarie Chapel Ranch, near Crawford, Texas, where there family ranch is located.
You've gotta admire the girl since she stayed true to her Texas roots but also true to her style and resulted in a perfect and classic look for her.

Jenna wore a custom Oscar de la Renta wedding gown. At least I am pretty sure it is custom because there is nothing even close to it in de la Renta collections circa 2008. It is a sleeveless bias style with trumpet silhouette and double v-neckline in organza and embroidered applique with beading.
There is but one full front view of the gown since most of the pictures offer only side views but along the front and back necklines there is a slight scallop to the applique, which features scalloped and swirled patterns.
Even though the dress appears simple, it is actually far from it.
Though upon first look it seems like a lace overlay gown, in some closer pictures you can actually see it is a much more intricate and textured applique. The embroidery is appliqued over organza and with the beading creates more dimension, with stiff organza adding some structure.
The swirled and scalloped pattern is similar to this gown shown below, which is a de la Renta 2008 collection gown. You can clearly see the great texture and detail of the applique, and even the organza base.

Jenna and Henry's wedding was mostly an outside event, with the ceremony by the lakefront and a tented reception on the grounds. Jenna chose wisely in wearing an unfussy and simple yet intricate and interesting gown. She also eschewed a traditional veil in favor of wearing her hair in a loose, half-up style with flowers, and an unfussy bouquet. The minimal look also extends to her jewelry, which is clean and sparse.
Here are a few more shots of different angles of the gown, including the lone front-side shot below with the bride and groom and their parents.
Jenna's gown actually recalls the gown of another first daughter, Tricia Nixon who wed in 1971 at the White House. Tricia's gown was by the famed Priscilla of Boston (which only recently shuttered its doors) and was a lace and silk organdy sleeveless gown with lacy v-neck. Tricia looked just as amazing then as Jenna did in 2008, proving yet again that classic never goes out of style.

Though they wed in 2008, here's to hoping Jenna and Henry are still going strong!
Did you love Jenna's gown?
