A collection of gowns with amazing skirts for your viewing pleasure!
First up is this lace and tulle soft sweetheart gown from James Clifford. The bodice is heavy with lace applique but the skirt is lighter, with wide bands of scalloped lace spaced out along the length.
For simplicity's sake let's call this a lace applique skirt, and it can be classified as either a full A-line silhouette or ball gown.
This Alfred Angelo gown features a billowy skirt with a fantastic "tumbled" style net overlay. It can't quite be described as pick-ups or bustle style, but its a little bit of a relaxed version of the two, with touches of lace.

I would call this skirt either voluminous A-line or ball gown as well. The "tumbled" aspect of the net is very Vera Wang, but the detail definitely fits the category of pick-up better than any other so we'll call it a pick-up style skirt.
Another James Clifford gown, this time with a lovely lace appliqued tulle overlay skirt. As you can tell, an overlay is a lighter, thinner silhouette laid over a heavier underskirt (satin, taffeta, etc.).
I always love a good overlay skirt, and this one features a mermaid silhouette with the overlay being slightly wider godet style. It is finished in lace at the hem, which helps the delicate tulle overlay to keep its shape.

Last is this lace gown from Akay. I call this a split skirt because a section of the skirt is left split open to reveal a more intricate underskirt. In this case it is a billowy, tiered tulle underskirt. I think it makes for a nice look with the heavier top lace, and the tulle tiers cascade down the side of the skirt and peek out from under all around the hem.
