It's been a while since I featured my personal favorites from new collections. But the latest Reem Acra had me squealing and doing jumpy claps and I think you will too! While the description of the show says this collection "focused on the sensuality of the female body", I think it is much more romantic than sensual, with lovely soft makeup, natural ringlets, not to mention the exquisite details.
The gowns are lovely but what really hit it out of the ball park were the accessories and attention to detail which I think was so fresh and innovative while maintaining and old world romance: tulle embroidered with phrases of sweet nothings, umbrellas encasing brides with cascades of tulle, ethereal head head wraps, bohemian styled veils. Many times the sweet touches are juxtaposed with a thoroughly modern edge like funky minis or shimmery body conscious gowns.
Look 1 features a modern shimmery mini with a lovely lace parasol draped in tulle and embroidered with the phrase "Thank you for your love".
Look 4 is a sleeveless, v-neck lace mini with nude underlay, also accompanied by a blue parasol with lace and a heavy cloak of tulle with cascading applique and "Just Married" embroidery.
Look 17 features a shimmery strapless sweetheart gown with a shock of tulle at the mermaid skirt accompanied by a lace parasol draped in clean tulle with the embroidery reading "Just Married".
Look 10 features a lace illusion jewel neckline with cap sleeves over a sweetheart bodice sitting atop a ruffled tiered organza skirt. Instead of a veil there is a sheer headband, in a bohemian style sitting low on the forehead, with embroidery reading "Only you".
Look 15 is a 1920's inspired slim with a shimmery neckline and sleeves, gathered draped skirt and a sheer tulle veil anchored by a sheer, low set headband embroidered with the words "Just Married".
Look 5 is similarly Gatsby-esque with a drop-waisted lace gown and thick tulle veil, anchored in place by a low set jewel embellished headband.
Look 7 features a lace embellished bodice with high neckline and sleeves and a sheer panel at the chest for a "cutout" look, atop a graceful gathered A-line skirt.
Look 11 is a column style lace trimmed strapless bodice finishing in a ruffly tiered mermaid skirt.
Look 13 is a lace v-neck bodice with sleeves with a sheer underlay over a clean A-line tulle skirt.
Look 14 is a slinky bias cut gown with asymmetric lace applique on the bodice and neckline.
Look 16 is a shimmery mermaid gown with tulle skirt and a funky and modern asymmetric off-shoulder neckline.
Look 18 is a lovely lace bodice with sheer/nude underlay and a full tiered and layered tulle skirt.
Look 19 is a shimmery gown with tulle overlay, with a deep sweetheart and sheer illusion sleeveless neckline.
Look 20 is a sweetheart strapless slim bodice with twist detail and lace applique cascading down the tulle skirt.
Look 21 is a sweetheart and sheer illusion sleeveless neckline with lace applique over a tiered and ruffled tulle skirt with organza hem.
Look 24, the last look features a strapless embellished bodice over an embellished and appliqued tiered tulle skirt. The appliqued veil is anchored by a low set headband with jeweled embellishment. My favorite touch is that the veil has a bit of that same embroidery that reads "Only you" and "Just married" but in a much more subtle placement which falls closer down along the skirt.

Look 2 features a strapless soft sweetheart gown with shimmery bodice and tier layered tulle skirt. A sheer tulle wrap draped in the front and tied at the back features embroidery sitting right across the ches reading "I'm in love". This look is perhaps the one that I think can translate best to a real-life wedding scenario, so much so that I wish I had thought of it!
