I found these great examples of inverted basque waistlines.
What is an inverted basque waistline you ask? To learn about them please visit my bridal glossary post on this design element here.
Readers of WhimsyBride have perhaps noted that has become an increasingly rare waist design in wedding gowns. It is not a personal favorite, it is a bit of a challenge to style flatteringly, and the design can look dated and out of fashion.
However here are two recent versions that have been elegantly done.
The first one by Alfred Angelo features an embellished version that wraps around to the back.
