Who: Modeca "Nanja" gown
Why: By now you all know how I love a) a good illusion neckline and b) a gown with a back view that is just as pretty as the front. Well this gown is basically the actualization of those two features.
"Nanja" features what looks to be at first glance an asymmetric and pleated strapless crumb catcher neckline atop the bodice.
But upon closer inspection you find a very subtle, barely there illusion scooped bateau neckline with ever so delicate beading. This detail looks super fine and light as air, a perfect counterpoint to the sharp pleating. The delicate detail is even more noticeable from the back and accented with a row of button closures.
The asymmetrically rouched bodice and modified mermaid are interesting enough to give this gown presence while simple enough to not detract from the lovely and delicate details. This gown is one that surely looks as breathtaking coming as it does going!
