Dream Dress Friday: Just A Touch

Who: Aire Barcelona "Paola" gown
Why: A pleated dropped bodice slight mermaid gown with embellished straight neckline.  The skirt not quite A-line and not quite mermaid is a just whisper of floaty organza.

This gown is truly a lesson in the impact of the slightest subtlety and quietly embellished minimalism.  In this gown, nothing screams at you, demands your attention or confuses you, but rather you are somehow inexplicably drawn to it like a fine work of art and your eye is able to pleasantly take in the full vision.

The silhouette of this gown is like a well-kept secret; while not an A-line and not exactly a modified mermaid, there is a positively feminine shape to it.  The bodice is similarly beguiling: shapely enough to let you know its form is feminine yet not so shape conscious that all the wearer's secrets are given away.

The straight neckline has an embellished band sprinkled with a smattering of eye catching sparkle.  It is enough to illuminate and complement the bridal glow but not so overly ornate as to be distracting neither from the bridal visage nor her accessories.  A pair of simple drop stone earrings would be the perfect complement and an unexpected embellished felt bouquet of creams. ivories and pinks would complement the look without any one element stealing the show.

Styleboard #2: Milk & Honey

The story: Ivory milk meets warm golden honey.  Be original and try a brightly colored balloon bouquet for your portraits but for practicality's sake a bright yellow bouquet instead of wrangling the balloons for the ceremony: instead let the balloons do double duty as the backdrop for your vows.  Touches like DIY tissue paper puffs and affordable bridesmaids dresses are affordable but your guests will never suspect.
