I decided to dedicate an entire post to Anne Hathaway's Oscar style that can translate to bridal simply because there were too many to include in the main red carpet review post.
Here are some of my favorite looks of hers in order.
This burgundy Atelier Versace look was the one I thought was the most flattering and looked stunning. Her pale skin looks good with a strong color and the sweetheart neckline is flattering. The dress also has a slight "deco" feel to it. Looks good as is or would be just delightful in white also.
Another strong color that looks simply striking on her skin tone, in the form of an electric Armani Prive column gown. Although this color and this style of gown might be hard to pull off, I think the occasion made it work. Since it is more covered than her other looks, I like this one for a sophisticated, fashion-forward mother-of-the-bride.
The next number is a flowy white Givenchy haute couture by Ricardo Tisci. Perfectly bridal as is, this is one of those all around flattering gowns that would look good on most body types. Since it looks to be a creamy ivory or off-white, as opposed to bright white, it is also flattering on most skin tones.
Lastly this fringy Oscar de la Renta was a welcome surprise. Not only is it super fun but it would be great to boogie the night away! While the fringe adds movement, the strong one shoulder adds a necessary structural element.
