Why: This gown manages to be romantic and traditional while also being (as its label proclaims) very alluring. The empire waisted gown with contoured cap sleeves suggest modesty and innocence. Vintage inspired details like the all-over lace and satin covered button back evoke tradition.
However in reality this gown is anything but sweet and modest with its deep double v-neckline and mermaid cut.
I liken this gown to a more realistic take on Kate Middleton's famous lace sleeved wedding gown, one that captures the essence of the original without trying to be an outright copycat. Of course on a less endowed body much like Mrs. Duchess of Cambridge these details will certainly look sweet, innocent and traditional. On a more proportioned body they will look much more va-va-voom yet sufficiently romantically bridal.
