Continuing with my Golden Globes recap... Every body type has its challenges and Laura Dern's linear figure is no exception. She wore a sparkly emerald Andrew Gn bias gown with long sleeves, deep v-neck and detailed waist. Much like Pippa Middleton this bias cut works wonders, fully utilizing the natural waist detail and deep v neckline to add the appearance of shape to her linear physique.
Madeline Stowe in a purple corset peplum mermaid gown by Vera Wang also rocks her proportions. While she is very petite this gown helps even out her proportions by enhancing curves. Also important is that the gown is tailored exactly to her body so you don't have a too long hem or too big peplum weighing her down.
