First post of 2012! Since most people consider New Years to be a fresh and clean start I decided to feature the fresh and clean fashion of Nicole Miller. Wonderfully understated and elegantly minimalist, her gowns are somehow loose and casual, almost like second skin, yet sculptural and body conscious.
Personal favorites from Nicole Miller 2012...
This bias cut gown with slight rouching, scoop neck and frilly little swing sleeves looks so fresh.
This open back with draping is so modern it is almost futuristic.
A slightly more traditional mermaid but in a criss cross pleated style with crinkle texture.
I can't say that this soft sweetheart gown looks like the most flattering gown but I give points for the paneled all-over sequins.
This sweet and simple sweetheart bias gown features a simple lace overlay, a departure from the otherwise unembellished and clean looks. My personal favorite!
Of course even when lace is incorporated it is kept minimalist as in this bias cut shapely sweetheart gown.
Concentric geometric embellishing on this straight necked slight mermaid gown.
There is just a bit of texture in this rouched and draped grecian style gown.
A lovely shawl collar on this off-the-shoulder bias gown with crinkled satiny texture.
A bias cut sweetheart gown with bodice and waist rouching.
A lovely crossed v-neckline with gathered empire waist.
This strapped grecian gown is draped where you need shape and rouched and fitted where you need structure.
A comfortable sleeveless grecian gown with deep V-neck and pleating.
A gathered and draped panel on an otherwise clean lined mermaid sweetheart gown.
The sweetest and simplest sweetheart mermaid gown with princess seams.
Finally, a textured bubble hem mini with side rouching and just the slightest shaped neckline.
