I feature a lot of great dresses but there are always a special few that really spark something inside me. These are my personal favorites from the 2011 year.
I am linking back to my original features and you can find the original links there.
The Vera Wang "Fairy Dust" I featured here, which is a long-time crush (of course, a Vera Wang!) with its delightful tiered panels.
The Melissa Sweet vintage-y "Fern" gown which I featured on a Look-A-Likes for Less...
and the Watters "Mackay" gown that I think mimics the details beautifully. I'd be hard pressed to chose just one or the other!
I love this Jessica McClintock "Rebecca" dress so much I dedicated this entire post to it! This is another one of my long-time dress crushes!
The Lyn Ashwood "Daphne" gown was one I featured which was a new and delightful discovery, as opposed to being an old favorite like some of the others.
This gorgeous illusion boatneck A-line Eden Bridals style 2249 gown featured here. Another old favorite crush, one I even considered for my own wedding gown!
This Jenny Packham gown, while not exactly a "bridal" gown won me over with the unique colorful floral embroidery.
This "Solaris" gown by Matthew Christopher was also an old favorite. I really love the subtle celestial shooting-star theme.
I found the most perfect, quintessential mermaid gown with this Mikaella gown style 1551. You don't get any better than this as far as mermaids go!
I've also had a long-time crush on this Blue by Enzoani "Concord" gown. The sensuous shapely mermaid silhouette and illusion neck panel contrasts with the modest touches of the high neckline and cute applique frill.
This Olivia Couture gown (style OB0001) I featured wins for best use of bows without going overboard with the big glitter bow detail and tiny bow detail in the back. The mermaid shape is also winning.
Maggie Sottero's "Grace Kelly" gown is also a long-time favorite and one-time contender for my wedding gown. I just think it is so traditionally bridal yet modest!
This "Grace" gown by Rhyme Couture is also a long-time crush since I first saw it when I got engaged and married a few years ago. I haven't been able to get it out of my mind since and I don't think I ever will!
