Who: Ines Di Santo, S/S 2012 collection, style "Star".
Why: That scallop skirt.
I find a scallop details to be such unique elements in wedding gowns for so many reasons. For one, they can be incorporated in so many ways, whether through edging on lace or concentric circles of beading. And second, since scallops can be done in so many ways, each time I see them they end up looking different each time, always unique and refreshing.

This Ines Di Santo gown incorporates a scallop detail in a particularly unique way.
I love the overall shimmery theme of the gown starting with the straight neck, drop waisted sequined bodice. This shimmer theme is echoed in the layered tulle skirt with sequin trimmed scallops.
How dreamy, not to mention shimmery, would this ball gown look floating across the dance floor!
