I recently found this picture (and accompanying article) where Kiernan admits how her personal style has been influenced by Mad Men's retro styles, even confessing "I love prints... but I was introduced to a silhouette... [that] cinches in at the waist and goes out a little bit. That is probably my favorite silhouette."
And I agree with her! I actually love that silhouette on myself but it is infinitely appropriate on children as well. How cute is she in the little plaid number below? It is refreshing to see a child actually dressed how a child should be dressed, in a classic, fashionable, and age appropriate outfit. It is so much more impressive that at age 13 she isn't clamoring to be yet another tween pop tart wearing overly trendy, tacky fashion.
By the way I love that little dress for a junior bridesmaid or even flower girl. But maybe I'm being partial because when I got married I bought my flower girls dresses almost exactly like this but in light blue plaid.
