Last Sunday I did a post on maids looks inspired by a black lace gown worn by Kate Middleton a.k.a. the Duchess of Cambridge. It was fun and I happened upon a few more "look a likes" of two different gowns so I decided to do another version of that.
The Inspiration: Kate's Jenny Packham gowns, both in metallic hues.
The first is a shift gown with illusion neckline and sleeves. The waist line is slightly inverted and the skirt has a bias drape. What would you call that color, rose-gold? Shimmery nude? Rosé champagne?
The second is this silvery/pearly one shoulder gown with draped bodice detail, flutter sleeve and full A-line skirt with waist sash detail.
The look-a-likes for less: They are not exact "look-a-likes" but rather are inspired by the original gowns and have bits and elements from both, in particular the color shades.
First is this grey chiffon grecian style dress, similar to the silvery grecian gown above, with its draped bodice and single sleeve. I'll admit that I think this version looks like its less body-conscious and flattering than the inspiration gown above!

This gown is one that mixes bits of details of both gowns: the embellished and illusion details of the first and the grecian single shoulder and billowy look of the second. I think it looks so delicate and elegant.
This gown is similar to the one above in that it marries aspects of both gowns. I also featured this dress in a post I did recently on the 2012 Pronovias gown collection. It was one of my top favorites in that post and probably in this post as well!
Finally this gown is a bit less similar to the inspiration gowns but I think it has the same color theme and the one shoulder aspect with a waist sash. The lace is a bit different but it looks so luxe here.
