Another set of look-a-like style done different ways and for two different age demographics.
Jenna Ushkowitz wore a floral print over lay, cap sleeve dress with waist cutouts. I love love the sweet neckline, the printed overlay and the sheer cap sleeved and her sleek hair! It is just perfect for her young age.
The waist cutouts definitely help define her waist. When you have a round face and full cheeks like Jenna it is easy to appear visually "thick" even if you are not, just because the roundness of the face seems to suggest fullness all over. Jenna definitely has a more linear body type but the waist cutouts and bias drape of the dress definitely help give her shape while the sleek long hair helps lengthen her face. Great job Jenna!
Kyra Sedgwick also wore a similar style in a coral colored Pucci gown. Kyra also has a linear body type except her gown makes her look like she is more willowy and narrower in the bottom than at the top, more of an apple figure. Similarly the cut of the gown also helps add shape to her linear frame while the long waves also help soften and lengthen her square face line.
Just goes to show you how different body types and ages can wear a similar gown, but basically a gown with waist cut outs like this favors linear body types!
